Glad to have the protection for my son, but the weight is not ideal. He had a lighter level 3 plate from another manufacturer that discontinued their model. But the weight difference is significant especially with my son being 7. My 7 year old will have this one and my 5 year old will have the lighter one I purchased previously. If they can bring the weight down a pound or two I think this would be outstanding. But for now it will work

Good solid plate. Fast shipping. I hope I never have to use it, but I'm confident this insert has my back covered in an active shooter situation. The only downside could be weight. For the size of the plate. It's not an issue for me. I recently lost 90 #. So, an extra 10# in my pack is nothing.

I bought these for my kids backpacks. I overestimated the weight and they don’t like how heavy it is. I go to return and apparently there is a no return policy on ballistic materials. The mistake is mine however I feel like 99% of people don’t scroll through a website looking for a return policy. If the item sold is non returnable put that in the description.
