PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The RTS Tactical Uniform 2.0 Carrier Vest combines the professional, approachable appearance of a traditional uniform with the high functionality of a cutting-edge external armor carrier. Raising the standard of uniform vests for law enforcement.

Designed for compatible RTS Tactical soft armor panels, the Uniform 2.0 provides officers with consistent 360° coverage while keeping essential equipment accessible. The integrated Hard Armor Pocket System enables rifle-rated plates to be inserted in seconds, taking the officer from routine patrol to active-threat response with a single platform. 

The front-zip entry enables fast donning and doffing without creating a gap in soft-armor coverage. Concealed behind the MOLLE body-camera mount and uniform-style buttons, the front opening preserves a clean, professional duty-uniform appearance.

Reinforced laser-cut MOLLE, constructed with RTS Tactical’s proprietary FusionX™ laminate, provides a rigid mounting platform that resists sagging and folding under the weight of duty equipment.

For agency orders, the Uniform 2.0 can be configured to meet department-specific requirements.

WHY WE MADE IT

Officers should not have to choose between a professional uniform appearance and the functionality of an external armor carrier.

We developed the Uniform 2.0 to bring those requirements together in one adaptable platform. It maintains the familiar appearance departments expect while providing officers with accessible storage, equipment mounting, body-camera integration and the ability to add rifle-rated protection.

The result is a carrier that can support everyday patrol operations while adapting to changing threats, equipment needs and agency standards.

FAQ

Does the Uniform 2.0 Carrier provide ballistic protection by itself?

No. The Uniform 2.0 is an armor carrier and does not provide ballistic protection on its own. Its level of protection is determined by the compatible soft armor panels and hard armor plates installed in it.

What soft armor panels fit the Uniform 2.0?

The carrier is designed to accommodate compatible RTS Tactical soft armor panels. Select the armor package offered with the carrier or contact RTS Tactical to confirm compatibility before transferring existing panels.

Can hard armor plates be added?

Yes. Integrated plate pockets accept compatible hard armor plates, allowing rifle-rated protection to be added when required. Hard armor plates are sold separately unless specifically included in the selected package.

Does adding a hard armor plate make the entire vest rifle-rated?

No. A hard armor plate provides its rated protection only within the area covered by the plate. The surrounding soft armor remains rated to its own specified threat level.

Is armor included with the carrier?

Armor inclusion depends on the configuration selected. Review the selected product option carefully to determine whether you are purchasing the carrier only or a package containing ballistic armor.

What pocket styles are available?

The front pockets can be configured with straight-cut or Western-style flaps. The flaps are removable, allowing the carrier to be worn without them.

Does it have a body-camera mount?

Yes. Dedicated center-chest MOLLE provides a mounting point for compatible body-worn camera systems. Compatibility may depend on the mounting hardware supplied with the camera.

Can pouches and equipment be attached?

Yes. The front laser-cut MOLLE platform supports compatible MOLLE pouches and equipment, allowing the carrier to be configured around the officer’s assignment and equipment needs.

How is the carrier adjusted?

Low-profile shoulder straps and adjustable elastic side straps allow the carrier to be fitted securely while supporting natural movement.

What colors are available?

The Uniform 2.0 is available in Black, Coyote, Navy Blue, and IRR-treated Ranger Green. Additional colors may be available for qualifying agency orders.

What is IRR-treated Ranger Green?

IRR treatment is designed to help manage infrared reflectance in specialized operational environments. This option is intended for agencies with specific equipment and uniform requirements.

Can the Uniform 2.0 be customized for an agency?

Yes. Custom configurations are available for qualifying large agency orders. Options may include colors, pocket styling, identification placement and other department-specific requirements. Contact RTS Tactical to discuss order quantities and available customization.

How should I choose the correct size?

Select the carrier size that corresponds with your compatible soft armor panel size and body measurements. For department orders, RTS Tactical can assist with sizing and configuration requirements.
