Built for the most dangerous correctional environments, the RTS Tactical SPK2 Soft Armor Panel provides advanced protection against aggressive spike and shank threats. Certified to NIJ 0115.00 Spike Level 2, this panel stops high-energy attacks at both E1 (33 joules) and E2 (50 joules) with zero penetrations.

Constructed with high-strength 300D DuPont fibers, the SPK2 offers increased threat resistance without sacrificing flexibility or comfort. When every encounter can turn violent, the SPK2 gives you the confidence to stand your ground.

    What is the difference between SPK1 and SPK2?

    SPK1 is certified to NIJ 0115.00 Spike Level 1, designed to stop spike threats up to 36 joules. SPK2 is certified to Spike Level 2, providing protection up to 50 joules. SPK2 offers higher energy resistance for more aggressive attacks or higher-risk environments.

    Is this armor bulletproof?

    No. SPK1 and SPK2 are not ballistic armor. They are spike-resistant panels, purpose-built to stop edged threats like spikes and shanks, commonly found in correctional facilities.

    Are SPK panels certified by the NIJ?

    Yes. Both SPK1 and SPK2 are tested and certified by the NIJ to Standard 0115.00, the official U.S. standard for spike protection.

    Can these panels stop multiple strikes?

    Yes. Both SPK1 and SPK2 are multi-hit capable and certified to withstand repeated spike impacts with zero penetrations at both tested energy levels (E1 and E2).

    What vest systems are these compatible with?
