Designed in a Shooter Cut-Single Curve-Torso configuration for optimal fit, the plate's Ceramic/Spectra composition is encased in a robust 1000 Denier CORDURA fabric finish. Adhering to the stringent standards of NIJ Standard-0101.06, it's not only tested but verified to meet or exceed ballistic resistance requirements.

LEVEL OF PROTECTION

RTS Tactical's Level IV armor stands as the ultimate protection against Armor-Piercing threats, including 5.56mm NATO; .308 M80; 7.62x45; and up to the powerful .30-06 APM2 as per NIJ 0101.06.

  • TESTING PROTOCOL

NIJ certification of hard armor requires submission of 10" x 12" test plates which must demonstrate the ability to defeat specific rounds tested to a valid NIJ shot pattern, after exposure to stringent conditioning protocol to simulate aging and wear. Level III requires six M80 rounds per plate.

RTS Tactical Performance Fabrics holds itself to a higher standard by publishing the minimum number of shots that each size plate can be expected to defeat under similar NIJ testing methods, as well as listing many additional threats not addressed under the NIJ certification process.
