Super high quality shield. I keep it in my car always.
Level 4 ceramic, hero’s 3a and level 3 + medium shield couldn’t be more happy highly recommended super comfortable for all day use on the clock
Curious to see how the large weight would feel in the hands and provide coverage. Honestly, it’s perfectly doable for short distances/short durations in one hand while holding a weapon in the other. I was also satisfied with the coverage and happy I went with the large. Looks like it’s built to last a lifetime!

This compact model is lighter & more maneuverable than similar shields in this category with decent padding to help reduce or eliminate force of impact. I now own 2 of this model, one which i keep in my vehicle & the other next to bedside for home defense & or family evac scenario's. I highly recommend this shield to anyone looking for excellent protection against common rifle threats in a convenient & easily accessible package!
This shield is a great protector for our water patrol officers. We are very satisfied with the shields quality, construction and mobility. Your sales representative and customer service is great.
It’s perfect and will hopefully hold up to multiple rifle rounds, like 200 rounds. I got the large and I’m 6ft, covers from head to my belt. I would consider the large already a mini shield don’t see why you’d get a small or medium unless you tiny built. Only issues were the coating had some little bits sticking out that I just took a razor blade to, and call it my ocd but the plaque was not level and slanted down right but none of those issues will matter when it’s doing it’s job and stopping rifle rounds. I’m happy with this purchase.
Great product
The RTS Small Shield was easy to maneuver with and shoot with. While on our first day of testing it I was able to shoot accurately, on the move, by using the shoulders of the shield as a support hand. We also learned that magazine exchanges were the same as when not holding a shield. Retrieving the new magazine and feeding it into the magazine well with the shield on the arm was way easier than expected. (see picture of student utilizing the shield while doing a magazine exchange.) We were also able to utilize the shield while shooting a rifle.

I really liked the idea behind this product. The issue we have always had with rifle shields was the size and the weight. So, when RTS showed a lightweight smaller shield with rifle protection, I was intrigued. Also, the price of this item was very reasonable. This issue is the weight, or better yet the weight distribution. Our operators felt that it should have provided more protection for the weight. Our SRO's had issues deploying it for any extended period of time. Like I said, the price, size, and idea behind the product is sound. I just wish it was half the weight.

The shield is as described and hopefully will never be used. Its a must have if responding to active shooter incidents or any response where firearms are involved.
Staged by bedroom window. We'll designed. Heavy duty grab handle with lower velcro strap to secure shield to arm. Nice square pad with moisture wicking material. I ran drills with this shield. Staged for quick access. High quality.
I purchased the large shield also. Perfect design. The rigid heavy duty top handle along with a sweat guard padding with a bottom velcro to stabilize your support arm. I ran drills with this well balanced shield. I keep it up on the front window for protection and fast acquisition for front or garage door in close proximity. This shield is well thought. I am pleased with this medium shield as well as my large shield. Better to be prepared and not use it rather than you need it but don't have one.
The 2nd one I purchased is 16x30 , the large. It embellished my bedroom window next to my bed . Quick to access. I've drilled using it. I like the heavy duty well made handle and lower strap support. These shields are well thought in design and function. These are of high quality. You can bet your life on them. They also have light padding or sweat material for your forearm. I can also draw on the silhouettes.
Bought two shields. One is for the front window next to garage and front door. It's the medium sized 14x24. It's easily accessible and the support handle and lower strap really secures the shield.

I've been working with ballistic shields for 28 years, but primarily all Level IIIA shields until now. Needing to address rifle threats, I thought I'd try this RTS III+ product in the "Large" 16x30 format. Yes, its heavy, given its steel architecture, but it's very well designed and fabricated. I'll buy from RTS again. Their prices are fair and shipping was prompt.
First set up for a rapid deployment, able to pull this from the driver seat fast. Looking for a better retention strap to keep it tight against the seat in the event of being in a traffic collision don't want this flying around.
It feels more solid and well made in hand, but the coating is indeed not the best I want. Based on the testings the coating will rip off easily after getting shot, would definitely prefer something like DLC or powder paint coating if possible

Excellent bang for the buck! Perfect for immediate threat for uniformed patrol, prior to SWAT integration. This shield is not as tactical (heavy and no window or lighting). Would purchase for each shift - YES!
This is a great shield which seems to be well made. We've added some rubber to the edges to cut down on damage to the shield and vehicle interior but it seems to be holding up nicely. The size and weight is fitting for a patrol assignment.
