This is a well made kit. Carrier tough as nails and really well made. Very comfortable. The plates don’t disappoint either. I would like to see longer velcro on the shoulder strap adjustment. by the time I have my adjustment made, theres not a lot of velcro left to hold the plate weight. This a heavy rig because of the steel plate. Be prepared for that. This is my first vest. I always had issued vest to wear. I think I made a good choice.

Plates came fast and were shipped well. It is what it is and you get what you get. Still under 20 pounds with IFAK on the carrier. Not “light” but I’ve traveled in dozens of airports with a “carry on only” pack sling over my shoulders that weighed more than carrier, plates, FAK and 3 mags. With a 15% discount, clocked in at $170. Also, pouches for side plates on carrier (sold separately) is a nice touch. Great value purchase.

Price wise it was a good deal for level III+ plates. I wasnt interested too much in the carrier, juat wanted the plates. Carrier doesnt have much padding at all and is one of thier basic carriers.One of the plates had a few defects and their customer service worked with me in exchanging it right away. I was sent a label and only had to pay $15 to ship it back out. I'm in the market for level IV plates next. Hoping if I shop here it will be a lot smoother of a process next time. This was just my experience, I'm sure this doesn't happen all the time. Ready to have plates back in my original carrier. Thanks again for making this right.

The carrier I received did have some quality control issues, however customer support was awesome replaced my carrier with a new one. My only issue with the carrier are the buckles; there’s a lot of material in the way once I adjusted it too fit. I suppose cutting and searing the ends of the nylon could solve some of that problem

This is an awesome deal. As a poor, we search for the best products for thee least amount of money, and this is it. There was some question as to whether or not these are actually Level 3+, as it just says Level 3 at the top, but then in the additional info. it says Level 3+, and after a few emails, they assured me they were level 3+, there's just not a cerification for Level 3+, so they have to put Level 3. When they arrived I searched for more proof that they were actually Level 3+, and there it is, on the sticker (sorry for the crummy pics, I was so excited I could hardly contain myself). Now, I realise that's not poof-proof, but I'm not about to destroy my bitchin' new plates by shooting them w/m855 green tips and 308. I haven't really looked at the carrier yet, as I was concerned/focused on the plates, but it looks well made, and the gave me a free patch :D The whole thing was packaged very well, and to ME, that's a very big deal. OH, and the plates are curved (single curve), I wasn't expecting that lil' bonus. I don't think it says it on the website. VERY satisfied with this purchase., I wish I could afford another set for the wife...er, for me, as this one's for my wife! and I wish they made one to fit my cat.

Rts tactical is one of the best when it come to bang for your buck. Alot of company post 199 bundle, but then when you get to the bundle you have to pay extra for shooters cut and curved plates. We'll not at rts tactical!!!! Not only was my bundle 199 but they had send me discount codes a while back and I get the level 3 essential bundle for 165 bucks!! Ordered 2 sets one set with the base coat, which I regret, should have gotten the build or really should have just ordered the set with the true spall protection coat. The build up is not what I thought at all. Maybe an extra coat or two and the coat ends right at the seem where spall would most likely exit into my chin or groin( as pictured) I am impressed by the plates and the tests I’ve seen. If they preform like the videos I will be well protected. Just wish I would have gone with the new coating. Build up not worth the $90 and not to convinced it would help stop spall.
