It may be hard to see in the pic however the inserts do not properly fit inside the cummerbund. The inserts are about 4 inches high.. The cummerbund is about 6 to 8 inches high leaving way too much of my side exposed without protection. I explained this to a representative and they refused to refund me the plates.
I understand policy when it comes to ballistic plates however I wasn't returning them due to the quality... They Literally did not fit their product. Their product didn't properly fit inside their product. It's kind of unfortunate because now I'm going to have to eat about $180 for something I can't use.
I'm big on customer service and it seems they were big on maintaining their profit versus assisting a customer.
Never received my item you guys used shitty mailing (UPS) service and I never got what I paid for. They haven't updated me on anything so jusy a very bad experience 👎
Overall I love this product. Fits great in my kit and works well with my hard plates already affixed to my kit. My only complaint is the amount of time it took to receive this product.
I’ve been upgrading my setup piece by piece, and these cummerbund inserts were the missing piece. They’re soft, flexible, and contour perfectly to my sides. Couldn’t ask for better.
The Commander cummerbund armor gives me confidence without compromising mobility. It fits well, feels sturdy, and works critical coverage into my setup.
The quality of these inserts is outstanding. They’re lightweight, durable, and sit perfectly in my carrier. I can train and move naturally while staying fully protected.
Provides way more coverage and comfort than standard side plates, fits perfectly in the cummerbund, helps with pouch support, and gives me extra confidence knowing I’ve got full side protection. Overall, a great addition to my PC 10/10
More coverage than just side plates. More comfortable, too. They fit easily into the cummerbund, add a little rigidity so pouches don’t sag, and overlap with the front and back plates (as long as you get the correct size for yourself). Also, my department requires them if using a plate carrier, so that whole “being in policy” thing applies.
We’ve worked with over 1,000 satisfied law enforcement departments, and growing.
