Ballistic shields provide mobile tactical protection for active-shooter response and other high-threat operations.
The Level III+ Rifle Special Threats Mini Shield combines a compact format with special threat protection against M855, 7.62×39 MSC, and M80 rifle threats.
The LEGION Ballistic Shield provides protection tested to the NIJ 0101.07 RF1 threat protocol. RF1 replaces the previous NIJ Level III designation. Its boltless viewport and USA-made construction support law enforcement and tactical teams that need portable rifle-rated protection.
A tactical plate carrier provides a platform for body armor and mission equipment, but the carrier itself does not provide ballistic protection unless armor is included. The “best” plate carrier depends on the armor, loadout, and mission requirements it needs to support.

Level III+ is an industry term rather than an official NIJ protection level and should not be treated as interchangeable with RF2. Under NIJ 0101.07, RF2 is a new intermediate rifle level, while RF1 replaces the previous Level III designation.
The collection also includes Level IV ceramic plates rated under NIJ 0101.06 for armor-piercing rifle threats. Under the newer terminology, RF3 replaces the previous Level IV designation. An older Level IV model should only be considered RF3-certified if that specific model has been certified under the newer standard.
