The 7800 hits that perfect middle ground: better than RF1, lighter than RF3. I wanted something capable of stopping more than just common rifle rounds, but still comfortable for long wear. This plate checks all the boxes. Solid weight, tight curves, and USA-made. Can’t go wrong with this setup.

This is the plate I recommend to teammates who want a major protection boost over RF1 but still need mobility. The 7800 has a great balance, lighter than you’d expect, and the multi-curve shape really helps with comfort during long hours. RTS has earned a spot in my kit rotation with gear that actually works when it counts.
